About this triangular folding box

A folding box is judged on two things a rigid box is not: how little it costs to move, and how quickly a shop can put it up. Because the whole carrier is one die-cut sheet, assembled volume is close to zero in the container — you ship stacks of flat board rather than a pallet of built boxes, and the crew folds them as they pack. That is the trade: you spend a few seconds of labour to remove the freight and the assembly cost of a rigid structure.

The triangular profile is the version that carries a bottle, a candle or a three-item gift set without an insert, because the fold lines themselves hold the contents away from the walls. Die-cut handle, as shown

The aperture is cut in the same die as the body, so there is no extra tooling and no separate handle component. It is the default on this structure and the cheapest handle we can put on a carrier.

Foil mark on the front panel

A single gold or silver stamp, priced by stamped area rather than by number of marks. On a matte or soft-touch laminate it is the highest-impact spend on the whole box.

Debossed pattern instead of print

The same shape pressed into an unprinted board. Quieter, more textured, and usually cheaper than adding two or three printed colours on a small run.

Window aperture in the front panel

A die-cut opening or a filmed window so the contents read on the shelf. Adds a cutting step and, if filmed, a film application step — each quoted separately.

How is this different from your foldable magnetic gift box?

They are different structures and they are priced differently. The foldable magnetic box is a rigid greyboard shell with a magnetic closure that simply folds down for transit — it still has board, wrap, magnets and hand-wrapped corners, and it starts at $1.50–2.30 per piece at 500 pcs. This triangular box is a single sheet of printed folding board with no core and no magnet, formed by its own creases, and it starts at $0.28–0.75. Choose the magnetic box when the unboxing has to feel solid and the budget allows it; choose this when the box has to carry, travel cheaply and be put up by hand in seconds.

Does the handle cost extra?

No. The aperture is cut in the same die that cuts the body, so once you have the die the handle adds nothing per piece. That is why this is the cheapest handled carrier on this site — a ribbon-handle or rope-handle paper bag needs a separate handle component and a hand-applied step, and it is priced accordingly.

How much do I actually save on freight?

It depends on the journey, but the mechanism is simple: an assembled box is mostly air, and you pay for that air. Flat-packed, the same quantity occupies a fraction of the volume, so more units fit in the container and the freight per unit drops. Ask us to quote flat-packed with freight and we will show the landed figure next to an assembled rigid box of the same size, so the comparison is on total cost rather than unit price.

Can it be printed on the inside as well?

Yes, and on a folding box it is worth considering, because the inside faces are the largest uninterrupted areas once the box is open. Inside printing adds a pass and is quoted as its own line. Note that a crease breaks a printed pattern by design, so an inside pattern should be set to the dieline rather than supplied as a flat panel.
