Hidden magnets set into the board so the lid snaps shut with no visible closure. The strongest reveal in the rigid family, and the structure most D2C brands choose for a launch or a gift set.
A drawer that glides out to present the product, usually on a velvet or foam tray. Jewellery, watches and fragrance benefit most, because the product appears before the box does.
Two pieces, friction fit, nothing to break. Around 25–30% below a magnetic box at the same specification, which is why it is the structure we recommend for volume gifting programmes.
A magnetic rigid shell with a die-cut insert tray — EVA foam, velvet-wrapped foam or a folded paper platform — built to your product's own outline. The tray does the engineering work: it sets the presentation height, stops movement in transit and decides how the product reads when the lid comes off. Insert priced as a separate line.
A collapsible version of our magnetic rigid box: the walls fold down and the base locks up, so assembled volume is not paid for in the container. Same reveal and same finishing menu as the standard magnetic box, with a dedicated folding die quoted as its own line — the unit price sits on the magnetic band.
A six-sided rigid box: hexagonal base tray, hexagonal lid, magnets set into the angled walls so the closure stays invisible. The shell carries the magnetic band; the dedicated hexagonal die is a one-off tooling line. A shape-led box for brands whose product is round, faceted or simply hard to frame in a rectangle.
A tall rigid box for a single bottle: friction-fit lid and base, with a cradle insert that holds the bottle at the shoulder and the base so it cannot move in transit. Priced on the lid & base band; the extra board a bottle box needs and the cradle insert are quoted as their own lines.
Our own house box: a matte navy magnetic shell with a brushed-silver foil band stamped around the lid edge and our own mark printed on it. The photograph shows how your artwork would be printed and foiled, and the matching paper bag in it is quoted as its own line.
The same navy shell with a single gold foil stamped mark instead of an edge band: one die, one stamping pass, and the lowest-cost way to put metal on a box. Foil is priced by stamped area, so the die and the coverage are quoted as their own lines.
Our own cream lid & base box: two rigid pieces with a friction fit and a narrow gold foil trim along the lid edge. Roughly 25–30% below a magnetic box at equal specification, with a magnetic closure upgrade quoted separately.
Structure 01
A magnetic box is a rigid board shell with magnets set into the lid and the base, so the lid pulls shut and holds. Because the closure is invisible, the whole surface stays available for your artwork.
The structure works best when the box is opened in front of someone — a launch kit, a PR package, a bridal or corporate gift. It is the format most likely to be photographed, which is why beauty, fragrance and jewellery brands default to it.
Structure 02
The drawer slides out on a paper or board sleeve, presenting the product on a tray before any of the packaging structure is visible. For a ring, a watch or a small bottle, that sequencing does more for perceived value than any print.
Drawers are the hardest of the three structures to make well — a poorly built one jams, wobbles or drops. We build the drawer to a tolerance that survives transit, and we send you a sample so you can test the glide yourself.
Structure 03
Two rigid pieces, one sitting inside the other with a friction fit. There is no magnet to align, no drawer to jam, and nothing that can fail in transit — which is exactly why it is cheaper and why it scales.
If you are producing 5,000 or 20,000 boxes for a retail or gifting programme, start here and spend the saved budget on finishing, where the customer actually sees the difference.
Finishing
Each technique is priced as its own line, so you can decide where the budget goes.
Metallic foil pressed into the board under heat, leaving a crisp mark with a slight impression. Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic foils as standard.
Velvet-matte surface with deep colour and no glare. Combine with foil or spot UV for a two-texture contrast that photographs beautifully.
A custom die raises or recesses your mark into the board, then the product sits in a tray cut to its own outline.
