This page explains exactly how an order moves through our hands — who draws the dieline, who checks your artwork, who is standing on the line during your run, and what we deliberately do not claim. If a supplier cannot answer those four questions plainly, that is worth noticing.
The operating model
What is ours, and what is not
CW Packing is a China-based custom packaging partner. We run your project through our own structural design, artwork and quality-control team, with production on dedicated partner lines in Shenzhen and Dongguan.
That structure is deliberate, and it is worth being precise about it. Your die line is drawn by our own structural team. Your artwork is checked by the people who will stand next to the press. Your QC records come from our own staff while the run is live, not from a third party interpreting somebody else's paperwork.
What we do not have is a building with our name over the door. The presses, die-cutters and assembly benches your order runs on belong to partner factories in Shenzhen and Dongguan that we work with directly and visit during your production. You are dealing with one team, one quote and one point of contact — we simply do not pretend the machines are ours.

- ✓Inline QC and records — print, die-cut and assembly checks taken by our own staff while your run is live, with photo and video sent to you.
- ✓Freight documentation — commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin prepared by us, on every shipment.
No factory ownership, no floor area, no headcount and no founding year appear on this site. Those numbers would not help you judge whether your order ships correctly, and inventing them would only make the rest of this page less believable. Certificates work the same way: the scope of a certificate depends on the exact board, coating or fabric, so ask for the current certificate for the material in your specification and that is the one we will send.

Quality control
What we check, and when
QC that happens only at the end is inspection, not control. These are the checks that happen before, during and after your run.
- ✓Incoming material. Board weight, thickness and shade are checked against the approved reference; fabric is checked by weight (gsm / oz) against the approved swatch. If the material is not the material you approved, it does not go on the line.
- ✓Pre-press. Artwork is re-checked against the approved dieline, Pantone references are verified, and the plate proof is approved before the run starts.
- ✓First-off print. The first sheets off the press are compared with the approved colour proof under standard lighting. The rest of the run is judged against that first-off, not against a memory of it.
- ✓Die-cut and creasing. Cut position and score depth are measured against the dieline, then boxes are folded and assembled by hand to confirm the structure actually works.
- ✓Assembly and insert fit. Magnets, ribbon pulls, closures and inserts are tested on finished units — component checks hide the problems that only appear once a box is built.
- ✓Packing. Unit count per export carton, carton weight, labelling and palletisation are checked, and one sealed carton is held back as the reference for the whole run.
- ✓Records. Photo and video every two days: plate, print, die-cut, assembly, packed carton. You see the evidence, not a summary of it.
Third-party inspection on request. On larger programmes you can nominate an inspection agency, or ask us to arrange one, and we will schedule it, make the line and the packed cartons available, and send you the report alongside our own records. We will not argue with the result — if an inspector finds something, we fix it before the shipment leaves.
Freight
Four ways to move an order, quoted for your route
Freight is where a cheap unit price quietly stops being cheap. We quote the mode against your destination and tell you which one we would pick if it were our money.

FOB and DDP are both available. FOB is usually the better route if you have your own forwarder and want control of the last leg; DDP suits buyers who want one landed number and no customs work on their side. Ask for both on the same order and compare the landed cost, not the unit price.
Duties, taxes and destination charges are set by your country and are payable by the importer unless the order is quoted DDP. We will flag anything that has to be paid on arrival before you approve the shipment.
Artwork
What we need from your designer
Most delays in custom packaging are artwork delays. These are the requirements that avoid a second print run.
- ✓File formats — AI or PDF preferred, editable vector ideal. A high-resolution PNG or a flattened PDF can work if that is genuinely all you have; we will tell you if it will print badly before we make plates.
- ✓Resolution — 300 dpi at 100% size is the minimum for placed images. Lower resolution is the most common cause of a soft-looking print, and it is cheaper to fix now than on a second run.
- ✓Colour — CMYK for process colour, with Pantone numbers for every spot colour or foil. We print against physical Pantone swatches and send a colour proof for approval.
- ✓Bleed and dieline — 3 mm bleed on cartons and printed wraps, and keep your artwork on the dieline layer we send. Do not scale, rotate or redraw the die line.
- ✓Fonts — outlined, or supplied alongside the file. A substituted font is the fastest way to need a reprint of an otherwise perfect job.
- ✓What we check — bleed, resolution, Pantone references, dieline fit and text safety margins. You receive a written artwork-check note listing anything that needs a decision.
Before plates are cut
You approve a written artwork check
We send back a short note listing every issue we found — bleed missing, image at 180 dpi, an unnumbered spot colour, text sitting too close to the score. You approve the fixes in writing, then the plates are made.

Honest limits
What we do not do — and what we tell you instead
Every supplier claims quality, service and scale. Scale is the claim we find least useful, so here is what we will not say, next to what we will put in writing.
Promises we are not going to make
- ×An owned factory. Production runs on dedicated partner lines in Shenzhen and Dongguan, and we say so on every page rather than letting a stock photo imply otherwise.
- ×Numbers we cannot verify. No floor area, no headcount, no founding year, no client count and no awards on this site.
- בISO-certified’ as a blanket claim. Certificate scope depends on the exact board, coating or fabric, so we send the certificate for your material instead.
- ×A bulk price without a specification. A number quoted without a size, material and finish is a guess, and guesses turn into arguments at the invoice stage.
- ×Pushing low-volume folding cartons or non-woven bags. Both are price wars at the bottom of the range. If that is what you need, we will say so and explain what it will not do for your brand.
- ×Taking an order we cannot deliver on time. If your deadline does not work, we tell you before you pay a deposit — not after the deposit has cleared.

Working hours
Mon–Sat, 09:00–18:00 (GMT+8). Enquiries that arrive overnight are answered on the next working morning. If something is urgent, WhatsApp reaches a person faster than email does.
Languages
We work in English and Chinese (Mandarin). Quotes, artwork notes and QC reports are issued in English unless you ask for Chinese — and if your designer works in Chinese, we can deal with them directly.
What a reply contains
A named contact replies within one business day with an itemised quote, a structural dieline, a 3D mockup and the two or three questions we still need answered. Not a brochure and not a product catalogue.
