Wine & spirits packaging · MOQ 100 pcs on rigid structures
A bottle box is a weight problem wearing a design problem's clothes. A rigid single-bottle box runs $1.20 – 1.80 per piece at 500 pcs and the same box with a shaped insert runs $1.50 – 2.30, and the difference is what stops the glass moving. Filled weight and shoulder diameter decide the structure; height decides almost nothing.

Range
These are three different engineering problems quoted from the same price list. A single bottle needs a cradle that grips the shoulder; two bottles need those cradles not to touch each other; a case needs the retail boxes not to move inside the shipper. The structure changes, the board usually does not.

The magnetic shell from our standard rigid range, with an insert die-cut to the product's own outline so nothing moves in transit and everything sits at the height you want it seen.

Two rigid pieces — a base tray and a lid that sits over it with a friction fit.

The same rigid magnetic shell with a folding wall and a locking base, so the box travels flat and snaps up for packing.

Printed art paper with a matte or soft-touch lamination, a folded and glued top edge, a board base and a ribbon handle threaded through a reinforced panel.

Cotton rope through a folded and glued top edge, set into a printed paper body with a board base.
What this industry actually needs
A wine box is usually described as a design job and is actually a weight and movement job. Everything that fails in transit fails because the glass moved, and glass moves because the box was specified from a photograph instead of from the bottle.
An empty 750 ml bottle weighs a few hundred grams; filled it is well over a kilogram, and a magnum is roughly double that again. The structure follows the filled weight and the diameter at the shoulder and base — not the height. Every quotation we give starts from those numbers, and a quote given without them is a guess.
Single-bottle logic breaks the moment a second bottle enters the box. Two cradles sitting side by side still let glass contact glass, and that is the failure no board grade can absorb. A divider is what makes a two- or three-bottle set work, and it is quoted separately because it is assembled by hand.
Markets differ on what a bottle or its packaging must carry, and that is your regulatory team's call, not ours. What we can do is structure the box so there is somewhere to put it: a printed sleeve or a base panel costs far less than reshaping a lid to create a flat face you did not plan for.
| How the bottle is held | Indicative | When it is the right answer |
|---|---|---|
| Die-cut board collar | Included in the box price | The entry answer for a single bottle. Constrains the body but not the neck, so it suits a short, stable bottle rather than a tall taper. |
| Moulded pulp bottle cradle | Quoted as its own line | Shaped to the shoulder and the base. The usual answer for anything tall, tapered or heavy, and the one that stops the movement that actually breaks bottles. |
| Foam or EVA insert | Quoted as its own line | Precise, presentation-grade, and the most expensive of the three. Priced by cavity count and cut, so it scales with how many bottles share the box, not with box size. |
| Divider grid | Quoted as its own line | What makes a two- or three-bottle box work. Without it the bottles touch, and glass-to-glass contact is the failure mode no amount of board thickness fixes. |
