What this season actually needs
A moving date, and dates
Two things make this season different from Q4. The date moves every year, so a schedule cannot be copied; and the classic contents are food, so the board has to be chosen for what goes in the box rather than for how the box looks.
1. The calendar moves about 11 days a year
Ramadan runs on the lunar Hijri calendar of roughly 354 days, so in the Gregorian calendar it arrives about 10 to 11 days earlier each cycle. A lead time that worked last year lands in a different month this year. Build the plan backwards from the date you need the goods delivered, and rebuild it every cycle instead of repeating the last one.
2. The countdown box is a project, not a catalogue item
A 30-compartment calendar box is the format people picture when they picture Ramadan gifting. It is a rigid structure with a grid of drawers or cavities, and the compartment count drives assembly labour far more than the board does. Send the compartment count, the largest item per compartment, and your outer dimensions — and we will tell you plainly if it is not something our lines can run.
3. Dates are food before they are a gift
Dates and nut-stuffed sweets release oil. Presentation wants a rigid shell with a liner that protects the surface; travel wants a grease-resistant format. Before you brief a Ramadan programme
A calendar that moves, a countdown format that is a project, and food-contact board — what actually decides this season's order.
How far ahead should we place a Ramadan order?
Work backwards from the date rather than forwards from today, and do not reuse last year's schedule. Ramadan follows the lunar (Hijri) calendar of about 354 days, so in the Gregorian calendar it arrives roughly 10 to 11 days earlier each year. That means a 90-day lead time lands in a different month than it did the previous cycle. We do not publish the dates themselves, because confirming the exact start is not our call to make — take the date from your own authority, then tell us the date you need the goods by and we will build the schedule backwards from it.
Can you make a 30-compartment countdown box?
It is a rigid-box project, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line it falls on once we see the specification. Send three things: the number of compartments, the size of the largest item that has to fit in one, and the finished outer dimensions you are working to. The compartment count drives the assembly labour far more than the board does, so a 30-drawer cabinet and a 30-cavity tray are very different costs even at the same size. If the structure is not something our lines can produce reliably, we will say so on the first call rather than quote it and disappoint you.
Which of your formats suit dates and sweets?
Two together, and they do different jobs. The date and chocolate gift box is the presentation format: food-contact board with a grease-resistant liner, sized around the contents. The grease-resistant food box is the workhorse format for volume and for anything that travels further. If your product releases oil, the food-contact surface is the specification that matters — tell us what is going inside and we will match the board to it rather than guess from the box style.

The same way a corporate gifting programme does, only with a date that cannot move. Most Ramadan programmes turn out to be two or three tiers wearing one brief: something for all staff, something for clients, and a smaller number for a short list. Those tiers have different unit prices and usually share one design language, so quoting them as a single blended figure is wrong for each of them. If the boxes ship to many addresses instead of one, tell us that at the start — it changes who does the kitting, not just the freight.
