Overview

About this ramadan calendar drawer box — lantern design

Every shaped panel costs twice. Once at the die, and once at the sheet, because the cut-out area outside the shape cannot be used for anything else. A rectangular cabinet has neither cost. It is why the rectangular version is the one to build when the run is large, and it is why a distributor will pick it over an arch without being asked.

The same logic runs all the way to the carton. A rectangular body stacks with no void filler, nests predictably and lets the carton size land on a standard pallet footprint instead of a bespoke one. When you are shipping thirty-drawer cabinets by the pallet, the difference between a carton that tiles a pallet and one that does not is a line in your freight cost that has nothing to do with the packaging.

Rectangular does not mean plain. The lantern and crescent sit as gold foil linework on a frieze across the top band, which is a single flat print and stamp position — the cheapest place on the whole product to look expensive. The base band stays clear for your own mark. Between the frieze and the base band the product still has two branded surfaces, without either of them needing a shaped panel.

  • ✓Rectangular body: minimal sheet waste, no shaped-panel die, and a wrap that folds flat rather than following a curve
  • ✓Cartons tile a standard pallet footprint — the packing line that quietly decides freight cost at volume
  • ✓Lantern and crescent as gold foil linework on one flat frieze, the cheapest position on the product for a premium read
  • ✓Thirty drawers, so one build covers a twenty-nine or thirty day month
  • ✓Base band left clear for your mark; sits flat on a supermarket shelf without a display stand

Variants

Configurations we build most often

Drawer count

Thirty is standard because the month is twenty-nine or thirty days. A twenty-four drawer version exists for a shorter promotional window, and is a cheaper unit for the same reason any lower count is cheaper.

Frieze motif

The lantern and crescent, or your own linework, in the same single flat stamp position. One position means one die, which is why changing the motif here does not change the price the way it does on a shaped panel.

Numbering

Foiled 1–30, printed, or unmarked. Printed numbering on a volume run is the cheaper route; foil is what makes a small run read as premium.

Carton spec

Specify the units per carton and we will work the carton to the pallet rather than the pallet to the carton. It is the single most effective thing a buyer can do to the freight line.

Materials

Materials and board

OptionWhat it means
Flat-panel boardA flat lid and flat sides carry more stiffness per gram than shaped panels, so the same size can step down a board grade compared with an arched equivalent.
Recycled greyboard coreThe structural core, wrapped. Where a buyer needs a specific recycled content, ask for the current certificate for the exact board in your specification.
WrapPrinted or plain, folded flat. No shaped blank, so the wrap can be run as a normal sheet and the artwork can be a simple layout.
FoilOne frieze position in gold, silver or rose gold. Priced by stamped area, so a fine outline motif costs less than a filled one.

Best for

Where this format earns its keep

Supermarket and volume retail

A flat footprint that sits on a shelf without a stand, and a unit price that survives a retail margin. The version built for a promotional endcap.

Distributors and wholesalers

Purchased by the pallet rather than by the unit. The carton spec is the part of this product a distributor will ask about first.

Corporate gifting at scale

Hundreds of units to one address, which makes the carton geometry the deciding factor rather than the finish.

E-commerce and direct-to-consumer

A rectangular cabinet sits in a rectangular mailer with no shaped void filler. The version to choose when the product is shipped one at a time.

Sizing

Sizes and how we set them

DimensionGuidance
Overall sizeSet by the drawer cavity and the count. Thirty drawers in five rows of six needs roughly six cavity widths across, plus the side walls and the frieze.
Top friezeA single flat band above the drawer block. Deep enough to hold a legible motif, shallow enough that it does not read as an empty margin.
Carton mathsSend the units per carton and the destination. Working the carton to a standard pallet footprint is worth doing before the artwork is approved, not after.
Base bandLeft clear for your mark. Its height is usually set by the difference between the drawer block and the body rather than by design.

FAQ

Questions about the volume version

Sheet usage, carton geometry and the fringing costs of a shaped panel.

Why choose rectangular over the arched version?
Sheet usage, carton geometry and price. An arch wastes the corners of its sheet and needs a shaped wrap; a rectangle does neither. If the run is large, the channel is retail, or units ship one at a time, the rectangle is the one to build.
Does a flat body look cheap next to the arch?
It looks plainer, which is not the same thing. The frieze and the base band give it two branded surfaces, and a flat panel is where a clean foil motif reads best. What you lose is the silhouette, and that only matters if the product has to win a display table.
Can we print the drawers rather than foil them?
Yes. On a volume run printed numbering is the cheaper route, and it is the one most supermarket ranges take. Foil is worth it when the count is small and the perceived-value gain has to carry the run.
How should we split the order across cartons?
Give us the units per carton you want and the destination market, and we will work the carton to a standard pallet footprint. This is worth deciding with the structure, because it can change the carton and therefore the quote.
What decides the price?
Drawer cavity and board grade, then the frieze foil area, the numbering method and the carton spec. Send the cavity and the quantity and you get an itemised price with a 3D mockup rather than a range off a list.

Ramadan Calendar Box — Arch DesignRamadan

Ramadan Calendar Box — Arch Design

A Ramadan countdown cabinet with an arched top over a thirty-drawer block, crescent and star foil on the arched panel. Thirty is the safe count: the month runs twenty-nine or thirty days depending on the sighting, so a thirty-drawer array is right in both years. The arch is a shaped wrap, which is what separates this from the rectangular version on price.

Advent Calendar Drawer BoxDecember

Advent Calendar Drawer Box

A rigid advent case with a grid of 24 drawers, each front numbered in foil or print. Pulls in ribbon, die-cut finger hole or a metal ring; the shell takes the same wrapping and finishing as any of our rigid boxes, so a festive pattern, a deboss or a single foiled mark all apply. What decides the price is the grid: how many drawers, how big each cavity is, and how much hand assembly that adds.

Advent Calendar Cabinet with DoorsTwo-stage reveal

Advent Calendar Cabinet with Doors

A rigid cabinet with two doors closing over a 24-drawer block. Closed, it photographs and shelves as one box; the drawer array is the reveal. Quiet magnet or ribbon-tied closure, printed door interiors, and a base compartment if the block does not fill the body. The doors add a panel and a hinge allowance, and both show up in the price.
